Big Brothers Big Sisters Canada is dedicated to creating a society where very child in who needs a mentor, has a mentor.They believe that every child should have the opportunity to reach his or her full potential, both as individuals and citizens – that by doing so, they will not only do well, they will also do good. Serving as role models, Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors teach by example the importance of giving and giving back, of staying in school, and of having respect for family, peers and community.
Centre for Addiction and Mental Health
CAMH is one of the largest hospitals in North America for people with mental illness. They are an acknowledged world leader in brain science. Each year, they provide exceptional care for more than 28,000 patients and respond to 500,000 outpatient visits. They inspire change in the mental health field through the professionals they train, the knowledge they share, and in the modern facilities they are building – embedded in the community and open to the world.
The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation
The Royal LePage Shelter Foundation is Canada’s largest public foundation dedicated exclusively to funding women’s shelters and violence prevention programs. Royal LePage agents donate a portion of their commissions and brokerage offices across Canada hold local fundraising events. The Royal LePage team also volunteers and provides in-kind goods to benefit the women and children residing in their local shelters. Every dollar raised goes directly to helping the more than 30,000 women and children served by the shelters each year, and to support funded programs. Since 1998, the Shelter Foundation has raised more than $18 million, and currently supports 200 local women’s shelters and national partners.
